Updates: Universities

The last week has seen over 2,100 edits made to our Ingenium data community, in areas ranging from the NHS to Local Government and Charities. In this update, we’ll be looking at some of our recent changes to our Universities data.

The Universities sector is a huge area of opportunity for businesses, with each of the UK’s 130 universities having many business needs extending well beyond simply educating students, involving around 420,00 staff.

Our updates to this sector on Ingenium in the last week include:
> 32 new contacts, including Head of Admissions for one of London’s top-ranking universities, the Director of Procurement at a major university in the North of England, and the Director of Finance for one of the UK’s most prestigious universities
> 85 outdated contacts being removed from our data
> 37 email contacts being updated and edited

The gift of tongues with Ingenium

A major international language services company is working with Ingenium to promote a range of services across several different brands.

Our client, who has worked with Ingenium on numerous previous occasions, works to provide translation services for hundreds of businesses across the world. Helping other businesses expand into new markets, our client works in literally hundreds of languages, providing services ranging from translation of specialised field-specific documents, such as legal or medical translation, to transcription and even some web design services.

Drawing on Ingenium’s extensive coverage of Public Sector decision-makers, we worked with our client to send several detailed downloadable whitepapers to people from across the NHS, Government and Housing Associations, in job roles including Education, Human Resources, Legal services and Training. However, this was only one strand of the promotion. Drawing on our suite of respected neutral news brands, we will continue to work with our client to promote further downloadable assets through three more, sector-specific branded communications. The specificity of our brands means that they are trusted names, ensuring higher click-through rates and more downloads – hence more leads – for our client.

In addition, we’re working with our client to draw on our sister community Opus, covering UK Enterprise, to deliver more leads from a completely different market segment.

Updates: Healthcare

The last week has seen over 3,700 edits to the Ingenium data community. A major area of focus this week has been data on the NHS and the wider healthcare sector.

The NHS has been an increasingly difficult sector to contact over the last year or so, due to factors ranging from increased cyber-security fears in the wake of the WannaCry attack, to changes to NHS contact information. However, Ingenium remains the most comprehensive source of NHS and healthcare contact data, including every NHS organisation in the UK. Our aim is to include full contact details for every decision-maker in the NHS – something our continual data updates help with.

Our updates this week include:
> 311 new contacts added to our community, including people in roles such as Head of Procurement, Chief Operating Officer, Head of Medicine Management and Director of Compliance & Governance
> 111 outdated contacts removed
> 76 changes to job function, meaning contacts can be targeted based on role rather than job titles, which can vary across organisations

Updates: January

This month has seen just short of 8,500 edits made to our Ingenium data community, in areas of the Public Sector ranging from Secondary Schools to the NHS to non-profit ‘Civil Societies’ organisations. The changes include:

> five brand-new organisations added
> over 3,200 new contacts added
> over 1,300 outdated contacts deleted
> 347 updated email addresses
> over 1,00 changes to contacts’ job titles or job functions

To look at this data another way, our updates include changes to the following sectors:
> Local and Central Government: over 3,400 changes
> The NHS: 665 changes
> Education, including Primary and Secondary Schools and Universities: over 2,300 changes

We’ve also updated areas including Policing, Fire & Rescue, Charities and Civil Society and Housing Associations.

Promoting more effective business software

Ingenium has recently allowed a business software company to spread the word about how they helped a major non-profit organisation work more effectively.

Our client offers many different business software tools, from solutions to help resolve customer inquiries to ways to manage sales leads and associated data. They have offices across the English-speaking world.

Our client was seeking to promote a case study detailing how they had helped a large umbrella organisation streamline its customer support. Working with Ingenium allowed them to contact decision makers, particularly in IT-related roles, across Local and Central Government and the wider not-for-profit sector. Ingenium’s data, tagged to job function, meant that our client was able to contact people working in various IT and Digital roles, targeting them on the basis of their individual area of expertise rather than their job title.

Leveraging the power of two of our respected neutral news brands meant that we could ensure a wider readership for our client’s content. As the campaign continues, more and more people interacting with our client’s collateral is turn giving them more potential leads.

Updates: The Year in Data

As the year draws to a close, it’s time to look back over 2018 and see what successes the year has held, and how challenges can be worked on for 2019.

The Ingenium data community has seen over 71,000 changes during 2018. This means that there are over 71,000 edits made to information including new contacts, changing job titles or roles, organisations’ addresses changing, or even entirely new Public Sector organisations being added to our data community.

If you work with the Public Sector and your data isn’t up-to-date, you won’t be able to contact the right people in the right role to ensure that you’re able to do business. Updates to Ingenium in 2018 include:
• Over 28,200 new decision-making contacts added, including 6,770 in Central Government, 8,180 in Local Government, 1,430 in the NHS and 7,280 throughout the Education sector
• Over 11,600 contacts removed from our database, due to no longer being in their roles or having moved to different organisations
147 entirely new Public Sector organisations being added to our data – and 131 organisations being removed due to no longer existing
• Over 11,600 edits made to our Local and Central Government data, including all relevant NDPBs – including 1,426 changes to job titles, 2,164 changes to job functions and 7,207 changes to contact email addresses
2,273 changes to our data for the NHS and wider Healthcare sector – including 753 updated contact emails
1,925 edits to information about schools, ranging from address changes, merges and name changes, to the upper and lower ages the school caters for

> 364 organisation details being updated or added – ranging from the age range attending the school to the Local Authority overseeing the school

Updates: NDPBs and Government

The last week has seen just over 1,800 edits to our Ingenium data community, with areas updated ranging from Policing, the NHS, Housing Associations and Universities. Our major area of focus this week however has been Non-Departmental Government Bodies and various Central Government organisations. Non-Departmental Government Bodies, or NDPBs, include various types of organisation, ranging from non-ministerial government departments such as the Serious Fraud Office or Forestry Commission, to executive agencies such as the Met Office to public corporations such as the BBC.

In the last week we have made 988 edits to our data on NDPBs and Central Government. Updates include:

> 149 edits made to the Environment Agency, including adding 51 new contacts
> 235 edits to our data on staff contacts at the House of Commons and House of Lords, including 71 new contacts and 62 changes to job titles or job functions
> 73 edits to Homes England
> 72 new contacts added and 41 contacts updated at the Met Office
> Further changes to organisations ranging from National Museums Liverpool to the DVLA and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.

Helping a Major Microsoft Partner in Public and in Private

A major Microsoft partner organisation has just launched another campaign in collaboration with Ingenium and our sister community, Opus.

Our client is one of the biggest Microsoft partners, working in over 20 countries and having won multiple awards throughout the world for their work. They help customers with adoption processes, data protection and operational governance.

Having worked with us six times recently, our client is now collaborating with us again to promote an upcoming free event in London aimed at both IT experts and business leaders, helping them to maximise the potential of new Microsoft tools. This event is being promoted through both Ingenium, the UK’s most comprehensive Public Sector contact database, and Opus, the premier contact community of UK business leaders. This means that our campaign is being sent to decision-makers including IT technical leads, chief executives, legal professionals and marcomms managers from the Private Sector, and in Local and Central Government and the NHS. This ‘two-pronged’ approach means that our client can contact key stakeholders in both sectors, with a message best suited to be of interest to them.

Several of our previous campaigns with this client have resulted in a number of highly positive direct replies, as well as sign-ups for the event. We look forward to replicating this success as the event promotion continues, and as we work with this client again on another upcoming promotion.

Telecoms giant promotes digital transformation across the Public Sector

One of the UK’s biggest and most recognisable telecoms firms has worked with Ingenium again to promote digital transformation work across several different key areas of the Public Sector.

Having worked with Ingenium numerous times before, our client is currently collaborating with us to undertake a number of different targeted campaigns to areas including Local Government, Healthcare & the NHS and Central Government to promote reshaping digital work and pushing intelligent connectivity.

Working with Ingenium means that our client is able to use our highly segmented data to contact key stakeholders in each sector – but also utilise this segmentation to send different messages to different audiences, meaning prospects are far more likely to engage. By addressing people in a way most suited to their job role, and giving them content specific to their interests and working practices, our client is much more likely to see high levels of engagement. The fact that our client trusts us to carry out three simultaneous, different campaigns is testament to Ingenium’s reliability and the results we deliver as standard.
